To Be New Neighbors Or Not To Be, That is the QUESTION!!!!

We live in the middle of a 3 unit townhouse and unfortunately we don't get to pick our neighbors. We have lived here for 3 year now and have lost one of the neighbors that movied in at the same time as us several months ago. The new family that moved has been much better than the last one that was there. Now the neighbor on the other side has moved back home to NY and the landlord has been in there fixing it up (when he has time) for several weeks! And in the 3 weeks'ish that he has been working on it people have been in and out looking at it. Some look like great people others not so, not that I am judging by the the cover of the book or anything. I just want a family with great kids to move in so they can play with my kids!!! Is that too much to ask for?

What is totally funny about this unit that we did not have with the people looking at the other one is that some of the visitors have questions and they are knocking on our door to ask them, I guess the landlord doesn't have all the answers and is sending them to us!

First People to ask us a Questions was a cute Young Couple w/ a baby on the way....
"How much is water and power in a place like this?"
Justin and I: "Hahahahahahaha!!!!"
(Yah not the nicest answers but..... right now we can't really answer that, not b/c we don't have those bill or b/c we don't pay them but b/c ours is not "the norm"! We have like 3 to 5+ computers on 24/7, tvs on all the time, radio in the baby's room that is always playing the classical station, and 5 fish tanks that run their filters 24/7 plus their light all day long! So we are not the best with the whole save the world cut back on your use of power people. I hope one day we will do better!) (And the water... same thing we have had a bad leak in the boys bathroom in both the sink and the tub that started as a drip and over the years is more of a stream. The landlord has fixed the sink and tried to fix the tub but said he needs to get a plumber to come in to do it. Plus the dishwashers timing thing gets stuck and if I forget to move it past the stuck point it will run all night!)
So Justin was truthful and told them that our bills are not the normal ones that they would probably have!

Second Person w/ a Question and I was the only one home!
"Do you have any problems w/ roaches?"
This one was a hard one, did not want to be dishonest since if she took the place she would figure it out and I would look like a lier!!! So I sugar coated it the best I could...
"Yes, since this area is very wooded we get the big ones. I never see itty bitty ones so I don't think there is a roach problem. They just come in threw the cracks of the door and we kill them when we can catch them."

Truth is that all I see are big ones but I do think that there is a roach problem b/c after kill one there is always another one waltzing around!!! And it is driving me nuts!!!

Another Yet Very Stupid Question for both Justin and I....
They (it was a family) noticed all the traffic on our busy street (we live on well used road that is only 2 lanes so the speed limit is only 35 but it goes to 45 up the street so not everyone is going 35 as they speed by)...
"Does the traffic noises die down at any times?"
Our answer: "No not really, but we don't really notice it. We have been living near busy road for a long time."
Them: "Oh, even at night?"
Hubby: "It slows down at night but you can still hear cars go by here and there all night."
Me: "And the train goes by right behind us and you can hear that pretty well!"
(I guess I could have left that one out but we could hear them when they were looking at the place, they keep saying "it needs a lot of work" and yes it does but it is an old place and a rental so..... there is only so much you can do!)
I did add: "The schools around here are great!"
Them: "Oh we home school so that doesn't matter. What about the neighborhood? Driving down the road coming here some of the people look..... "
Me: "Neighborhood is great, have not heard of any brake ins, everyone seem to keep to themselves. Had some problems with some kids not getting along with ours but thats about it."
(I'm not sure why they question the neighborhood, yes we are not in a richy area, yes people are outside working on their cars or yard or just siting around, it was the weekend! And yes the houses were small and not great looking, this area is pretty old!!! and there are tons of new pretty expensive houses and neighborhood being built right down the street and they make the smaller older ones look like crap but does not mean the people are!!! Thank you very much!!!)

So as people go in and out next door I try to peek through my window to check them out but I think I might run and hide if anyone rings the bell to ask a "QUESTION"!!!!
Lol =)

I just have to remember that hopefully someday soon it will be our turn to be new neighbors in our one day house!!! And I to will be asking the "QUESTIONS"!!! But for now I have to be patient and hopefully we will GET Great Neighbors!!!

A Ride Home... And a Cool Train!

Some times it is not the destination it is the RIDE to
(or in our case from) that we have the most fun!!!
(A Great Mommy Moment)

We were coming home from an unsuccessful Story Time, Lila spent most of the time at the train table, when.....
Cole noticed a wilted french fry left over from snack yesterday on the floor of the van! Can we say "eewwww"!!!!!
And lets just say thanks to Diary of a Wimpy Kid Cole got the FRY TOUCH,
then Jesse had it, then Me, Cole again, and last but least Lila!!!
LOL =)

And to top it off we were stopped by a train on our short ride home!!!
A lot of people saw the arms go down for the train and started U-turning to head to the bridge down the street (the train goes on the bridge and the cars go under) but having kids in the car you learn that the trains going by (even the long long long boring ones) are Super COOL!!! So we stop and wait to watch the train.....
And we got Super Lucky!!!!
It is not every day in our area that you see MILITARY TANKS go by on a TRAIN!!!!
I have lived her for over 15 years and have never seen a train caring military vehicles go by!!! We see them at the fair or some other event but not on a TRAIN riding through town!!! And a TANK!!!! Can we say "SCORE"!!!
To add to our surprise they had a couple different military vehicles on it!!!
I am so glad my kids have taught me to be patient and we did not U-turn missing this VERY COOL TRAIN!!!

Lila Swimming By Herself!!!

The video is not very long b/c Lila keep going further away and I had to put the camera down and go after her!!! Her safety comes first!!! But it is cool to get a little bit of her swimming all by herself!!!
The amazing thing is this was her only 2nd time in a Big Pool this year!!! And she has only been in a big pool 3 or 4 time her whole little 3 years of life (the other times were when she was a 1yr. old)!!! I really thought that she was going to cling to the side of the pool like a lot of young unexperienced children do!!!
But not My Little Lady Bug!!!

Check Cole out he is ready for battle!!!
And a water back massage =)
Jesse wonder what to do next!!!
2 kids 2 different directions!!! And were is the 3rd!!! Lol =)
That's what happens when you have more than one!!!

Now Lila is ready to battle!!!
Cole is eager to engage in the water fight!
Lila shoots back!!!
Cole wins as Lila walks away from the battle!!!
Jesse taking a very tall shower!!!
Looks refreshing!!! Lol =)
Oooohhhh.... Water sprinkler!!!

What is Cole doing siting?
Is he sitting on something??? What???
Lol =) He is sitting on the sprinkler!!!
Lila who was a little timid of the sprinklers saw Cole playing with them and realized they are not that scary...
Just wet and cold!!!
And Fun!!!
And if Cole can do it (sit on it) so can Lila!!!
In the shade of the Coconut Tree!!!

Dare Double Dare You Can't Catch Me!!! I'll Beat you to the Top of the Coconut Tree!!!
Lila now in the Big Pool and she took off!!!!

She figured out how to roll from her belly to her back and back again!!!
She both amazed me and scared me w/ her very independent swimming!!!
She swam the length of the pool more than once and did not want any mommy help!!!

Lila Moves Into A Big Bed!!!

Can not believe my Baby is getting big enough to have a "Big Girl Bed"!!!
It is always an exciting yet sad day, exciting b/c they are getting older and more independent, but sad b/c they are growing up way to fast!!!
Lila in the Train Bed. Both boys used the Train Bed but Lila only got it b/c we had an extra toddler that lived w/ use for 5 months that need a bed so we gave him hers and she got to use the Train Bed. (she got first pick since it was her room and she was older and it was her bother's) She only been using it for less than a year and now we are going to be putting back in the attic.
~ =) ~
Lila was excited about the new bed!!! Played on it, read stories on it, bounced around a bit (till mom told to stop, can't have moneys falling off the bed), was pretty happy till...
Bed Time!!! She really did not want to fall asleep, maybe b/c her room was different, rearranged, and she was still suppose to sleep here!!! By herself??? Well it took many trip back into the bed till she finally broke down and fell asleep an hour/hour and half after bed time! But like always MOM WINS!!! Lol =)
Want to say thank you to Maryrose and Karlie for the bed sheets, they are awesome and go so well w/ the Thomas pillow!!! Lol =) (I don't think she is giving up that pillow any time soon!)
Sad thing is that my, I mean her, Story Area doesn't fit in the room anymore. The book shelf does so she will have plenty of books to read but the little sofa thing well it is in the closet now till I can get ride of some of her toys! But Gray, the cat, was using more then she was so I don't think she is going to notice! The nice thing about Books they can be read anywhere!!!

Next I need to find her a nice dresser!!!!!
LOL =)

Who said Girls don't like Trains!!!!

Lila Loves Thomas!!!
ToysRus was doing a Thomas Day
and had their trains out!!!
She colored a picture of Thomas
(she used a red crayon so he ended up looking more like James)
And she got to play and play and play
w/ Thomas the Train!!!
(of corse my little girl has to have Thomas and she knows which one he is!)
Then at the end there was a story and a question w/ a prize!!!
And since Lila was the only one to sit down and listen to the store
she won the prize, a very nice coloring and sticker book
(it was a $12.99 book free to her)
Then us girls went to Taco Bell to try out the $2 meals!!!
Lila ate my chips I got the gordita and the soda!!!
(she had already ate lunch at home before we left
so all she need was a snack)
One Happy Girl and One Great Day!!!

Jesse's Camp Out

This week has been so hard on me!!!
My oldest has gone to summer camp
with his boy scout group for a WEEK!!!
But Wednesday they did a Family Day and I got to
him, how he was doing, where he was sleeping,
and where he spending his time!
Cole came with me on the 1hr. 20min. 'ish drive to go see Jesse! We left Lila home w/ Daddy so I did not have to chase her around the woods and all my attention would be on Jess! (Hubby made sandwich for dinner, lol, and she ate it all!)

Swimming... Jesse past his first test and the red means he is a beginner! Maybe next he can up it and be able to learn canoeing.

Jesse and Cole in Jesse's tent.
The Weather Rock was pretty cute (oh these are boy scouts so maybe say awesome, lol) What it did not tell you that the temp out side was over 100, but there was a lot of shade thank goodness!!! (That day actually broke the record on the hottest day recorded on that date!!!)
Dinner was something called HoBo Mush!!! Cole really had fun making it! It was hamburger meat, cubed potatoes, and diced up celery, plus some seasoning in a aluminum foil bag cooked in the fire pit!!! When it was done we added a sauce (ketchup, hot sauce, bbq...), I did the ketchup and it wasn't half bad! We may even try it out at home so I have another meal that the boy can make themselves!
Then after dinner all the boy scouts got together for the Flag Ceremony, some really cute (I mean Cool) skits, and then they had another ceremony that was really cool! I think it was called order of the arrow or arrow of light or something like that. Really don't know much about since well I was never a boy scout and my oldest just joined early this year. But it was very entertaining and very cool!

Then after all the night festivities we (Cole and I) made are way back to Jess's camp using my New IPhone as a flash light! (Love my new phone!!!) At camp we fond tons of toads just hopping around and the boys could not help catching them!!! Lol!!!
We then said good night to Jesse and headed on are long dark journey home (well it felt long)!!!
Saw a group of deer on the side of the highway on are way home!!! We got home a little after 11 and I was thankful Lila was already asleep, I gave her a kiss and told her I love and missed her all day!!!
I am very thankful that I got the opportunity to visit Jess at camp. It has help with all my worrying knowing now where he is, that he is eating well (someone stopped me to tell me he goes back for seconds on the salad, that's my boy!), he is clean, and having fun!!!
