failed walk... on a bad day...

Yesterday was a hard one, woke up more tired then when I went to bed.... fought w/ Cole about the fact that he has a little bit of money and wants me to drive him to a store after school to buy something and I think he needs to wait till this weekend!!! Hubby asked me to pick up breakfast for him after I dropped off the kids @ school (this normal doesn't bother me but since I was already in a bad mood).... Then I thought I will take the breakfast change and Lila, Lily, and I could walk to Lowes to get a pack of cheep flowers to plant out front.... But Lila had other plans, she wanted to walk with her "big red car" which I knew that she would ride for a little while and I would then have to drag it the rest of the way!!! And I was right.... we fought about the fact that she brought it and she should push it home, I really could not carrie it and walk the dog and keep her safe... and pulling or pushing it means that I would have to lean over and my back already was hurting. So after 10 minutes or so of begging and yelling and giving a 2 year old ultimates, I gave up and tied the dog to her so that I did not have to lug that stupid car home! My poor puppy!!! So I never did get the flowers!!! Oh well live goes on!!!

And by the end of the day I used that little extra change for note cards for Cole's school project! Then there was the fighting about shower and bed time w/ the boys (well mostly Cole)! So I was so happy to end my day and start fresh on a new one!!!

And today has not been great but it has not been bad ether! I got up on time, put on a nice skirt, some make up to feel good about myself, did not fight w/ Cole this morning, did story time at the book store, did not get much else done but the day is what little over half over! Going to go get the boys from school and well.....

My Mother's Day '10

My Mother's Day went pretty well! Hubby got up when I did instead of his usual 10'ish... The kids did a good job of cleaning their room... We did the flea market, I love walking around at the flea market... The weather was awesome!!!... Cole gave me a school made Mother's Day gift, a butterfly... Lila and I made her hand print!!

Even though My Little Lady Bug was sick (coughing, sneezing, sniffling) she had a great day, making her hand print and playing at Nana & Papa's with the boys and her cousin house!

Unfortunately My Little Lady Bug was so busy that she did not want to take her nap...

So she pooped out right as dinner was ready and missed all the drama about the oven element burning out!!! Lol!!!

Yes the heating element decided that Mother's Day was the prefect day to well die!!! Luckily the pork tenderloin decided to cook but the sweet potatoes were as hard as rocks!!! And they were in there for an hour and a half!!!!!! GRRRR..... So I microwaved the sweet potatoes and they came out terrible! Oh well there is only so much I could do.... Next year need to put a little money aside so I can go out to dinner for Mother's Day!!! But my birthday in a couple of weeks and we ARE going out to dinner then!!!!

Naughty Kitty!!!

Woke up this morning to:

MEOOOWWW!! MEEEOOOWWW!!!! HISSSSS!!!!! MEEOOOOWWW!!!!!!

And this was all about 20/30 min. before the alarm was going to go off!!! So I pop up wide awake knowing my cat was in trouble (I responded like I would have to one of the kids, Lol)! I found my cat outside (she is an indoor cat!) in the back yard having a cat fight w/ a neighbor's cat!!!!! Dam her taking advantage of the open windows and great weather while we are asleep!!! She can now pop out screens!

New idea to keep the kids writing all summer....

So I have a "NEW IDEA" (light bulb over my head idea)

for the kids summer vacation which is like month away....

(really only about a month away were did the school year go?)

They are good about doing their big work book I get them every summer, they love doing the math and tolerate the rest but when it comes to getting them to write it is like pulling teeth!!!

And getting Cole to work on spell....

Since they love mommy's blog I have set them each their own little blog

under my account and my name, everything from getting on to proof reading before they hit

publish goes through ME! Any responses they may get (I have yet to get one so not to worried about it) I will see first and can delete if not appropriate.

They are very excited about this idea and if it gets them writing more which will help

with spelling and typing skill (which I don't think the school is teaching)

I think this will be great!

And I can change the topic of what they write like:

~write about your day

~write about the book you just finished

~make up a story

~write about this picture

and so on.....

So what do you think? Is this a creative way to get

them to write since writing on paper is

BORING!!!

Cole's Frog

R.I.P. Cole's Frog

Poor, poor Cole is so upset =( He had this little frog that we got as a tadpole a couple months ago... he fed him 2 days ago (and b/c he lives w/ a lot of water he feeds him crickets in another container otherwise the crickets would jump in the water and drown before the frog could eat them )... tonight Cole fond his frog in it's feeding container all dried up =( it only took 2 days.... And Cole is so upset... feels like he killed him b/c he forgot to put him away.... and well he did.... how do yo let him know it is ok.... it is not like he is not use to pets dying we have tons of fish that die all the time!!! And we have had other pets die but he feels that this one is all his fault =( And it is... but.... all I can do is tell him it happens and I love him and if he wants I will get him a new one (I know I am a sap)

10 minutes till 11pm

It is 10 minutes till 11pm and my little Lady Bug who has been running a fever all day has woken wide awake!!! So as Daddy and brothers sleep Lila and Mommy are playing with puzzles (even though Mommy would rather take her shower and start getting ready for bed)!!! Oh well crackers and juice, potty break, and puzzles!!! I guess the baby medicine has kicked in!!!

Sooo..... Again there is something new in one of tanks! In the Baby Bengali Cardinalfish nursery we have a ton of fluttering things! They look like the parachutes on dandelion seeds!!! So...... ???? Not sure what they are!!! Justin thinks that they could be Baby Jellyfish!!! What do you think????
