a house wife's day

Wow another hard morning and I wonder why I never want to get out of bed! It started with a headache, I think it was the same one I went to bed with last night. Then there was a cereal fight!!! Trying to get the boys to pour less in their bowl (the newer bowls are bigger then the old ones). Cole doesn't alway eat the giant bowl he pours and the cereal is going so fast I am having a hard time keeping it stocked up!!! (I may need to find something else for quick easy cheap breakfasts!) Then there is Lila who want a bowl of cereal but doesn't eat any of it!!! The girl eats so little it is a wonder that she is growing at all!!!

Then there is getting Cole out the door to go to school! The boy HATES SCHOOL!!!! & I understand, most of us did not like it at one point or another!!! But that doesn't change the fact! He has to go! Maybe just maybe if he did not push my buttons, listen to me better, just maybe I could homeschool him but b/c that is not something I could do for him and he would be so bored w/ no kids to play w/ it just would not work!!! So we fight about it most mornings!

I did take Lila to the park, it is beautiful outside, not to hot not to cold! Sun out w/ a nice breeze! But Lila is off today, maybe tired. There weren't many children out this morning, we were at the park for 30/45 minutes before another person and a child came for a little while then they were gone after about 30 minutes! Then it was another 15/20 minutes before more children came! Usually Lila is ok w/ playing by herself but today like I said she was off... she complained about being hungry, no surprise since she did not eat breakfast but usually she not hungry till 11. And she keep wanting to go home to get a snack but when I asked her to help me pick up the sand toys she would drink some of her water and started playing again! She did this like 4 or 5 times! So finally right before 11 I pick up the toys by myself and by this point she was ready to go home. She ate great for lunch which is normal for her, pick little at breakfast eat great for lunch and nothing for dinner! And yet she grows like a weed!!! But that is a 2 year old for you! Soon to be a 3 year old!!!

So now she is napping I get a couple of hours to myself before I have to pick up the boys and we (meaning Cole and I) fight about homework!!! Then I make dinner.... feed the dog and cat.... get everyone ready for bed.... do the dishes... feed the fish.... I get ready for bed, yet I can't fall asleep till 12am or later since my brain wont shut down..... then I get the headache and finally fall asleep.... only to wake up in the next morning still tired w/ the headache!!! And it starts all over again!!! (and I have not said anything about the cleaning I did or was suppose to do! Which I am going to start now and get what I can down before Lila gets up and we have to get the boy from school....)

My poor Lady Bug found a caterpillar yesterday so we put it in a jar and she carried it all over the place, even wanted to sleep w/ it!!! When she got up this morning the caterpillar was in its cocoon! My poor Lady Bug =( now she has to wait till it turns into a moth!!!

Nail and Open House

So life is just going to get tougher for now.... I stepped on a nail last night!!! But I did get lucky it just broke the skin and did not go in very deep!!! So.... Today I went to the doctor to get my tetanus shot plus I also had to get my hubby an appointment so that they could look at a skin infection on him! So that was our morning, so much fun!!! Then it was the pharmacy to pick up antibiotics for both of us, next it was lunch time and since it was early early release days (don't ask it is stupid) I had to go pick up the boys!!! After all that I was so tired and so was Lila since it was now past her nap time so I tried to nap w/ her but she got more sleep than I did! Now I was hungry so I did lunch, cheese sticks (all about the comfort foods right now) and homework w/ the boys. Then wake up Lila and figure what to do about the middle school's open house! So Cole stayed home to help his dad out and I took Jesse and Lila to the school. (It is the same school I went to for half of 6th to 8th grade and over the years I was hoping for more since we tried to get into magnet schools and well did not get in I needed it to look great and well it did not) Jesse did like the school and is interested in band. I am happy that the school is not doing what a lot of them are doing, the block schedules. And another plus it is right down the street from us, on nice days we could walk! After the open house it was dinner time and well getting ready for bed time!!! I took a long bath not that it help, my arm hurts from the shot. Boy do I wish I had more time in the day, it really feels like I did nothing today!

Not sure why but I am feeling very run down!!! Which is normal for me but....

Last week was a busy one yet I felt like I had more energy!!!

How do I get that back when I don't know what I did differently???

Every day life is busy all the time!

Something New in the Fish Tank!

So there is something new in our biggest salt water tank!!! Not sure what he/she is, just figure it is some sort of sea slug or sea hare. So now I have to figure out if he is the good kind (eats algae) or something that we should get rid of (eats soft corals)!!! I also would like to get a better pix of him but since he smaller than a centimeter it is very hard, we need a better camera for that!!!
This is his underside, I would love to get a pix of the top of him!!! He is white w/ yellow flowy spikes/tentacles on his topside!

Baby Cardinalfish Now 3 Weeks Old!!!

Yeah!!! The Babies are now 3 weeks old!!! Sad we that one has died but glad that the other 2 look good and are still eating!!! Now if only there was a safe way to clean there tank better!!!

April what day is it again? the 15th

Wow what a day it has been!!! What a week for that matter!!! My oldest, Jesse, went on his first solo campout w/ his boy scout troop (want to say pack but that was cub scouts)! They left Friday, meet up at the church at 4:30 which was hard since we don't get out of carpool till 3:50'ish and home by 4 racing around grabbing everything that should have already been PUT TOGETHER!!!! They went to a Camporee? or something. And it sounds like he had a great time even tho he FORGOT HIS COAT!!!! I on the other hand am the kind of parent that worries about their kids when ever they are out of site, so I worried all day and was up all night thinking about my oldest baby being out in the 38 degree'ish weather w/ out his coat!!! (I don't know how cold it was there and I am hoping he was in his sleeping bag when the tempter dipped low that night!) He came home Sunday dirty and happy, ready to go home and play video game and eat lunch!!! It sounds like he will be going on more campouts!

As for today, boy oh boy was it a day!!! Today was Jesses 5th grade field trip!!! They were going to Colonial Williamsburg! And that is over 3 1/2 hrs. away from us! So I had to drop Jesse off at school at 5:30 in the morning! Wow 5:30 AM!!!! I am lucky when I get up by 7:30 to get everyone up for school! (don't know what I am going to do next year when he starts middle school) So Jesse and I got up at 5 AM got... he ate breakfast... grabbed his video games and bag of snacks, camera, money (thanks to his Nana he had $40 of spending cash, Nice), books... we ran by the the grocery store (it was finally payday, thank goodness for direct deposits) picked him up a lunchable... had to run back home b/c we forgot the water bottle!!! and finally made it to the school by 5:38'ish! And guess what??? the buses weren't even there yet!!! YES WE MADE IT!!! (it makes me want to sing the Dora song "dodododododo we did it!") So I said my good byes and tried not to cry, letting him go again for the second time this week, it was so hard! But on the plus side I get to go home and crawl back into bed and yes that is what I did!!! Not that sleep came easily and boy was it hard to get up again!!!

But I did it! I got up at 8 and rushed Cole and Lila through breakfast and getting dressed! And like Jesse, Cole had no lunch (I used the last of the bread yesterday), so we rushed into the store for him to get a lunchable too (we only get them for field trips and to be fair both boy get them even if it is the other boy's field trip). But wait my day was not done yet, it just started!!! Oh boy... Like I said it was pay day and hubby want McD's for breakfast so after dropping Cole off I ran through the drive through and got him is food and ran it by his work! Am I a nice wife or what!!! Lila and I also had a play date w/ our favorite people Mrs. Megan and Little Casey at the park! So we spent some of our morning w/ them, Megan has 2 boys the same age as mine (her oldest was also on the bus to the Williamsburg), and it is great having a friend that knows what I am talking about and has the same ups and downs that our family has (and it is helpful knowing that her family life as a child was some what as screwed up as mine, lol)! So the park was great!

Next stop back to the grocery store, we need something for dinner tonight!!! I pick up shrimp, alfredo sauce, and an italian roll, plus some food for tomorrow! Lila and I went home to put away the groceries and Lila ate some easy mac for lunch. Hubby called about doing lunch together so I packed Lila back up into the car and we did subways buy one get one free deal for tax day! I have not had subway in forever!!! It was tasty!!! Next on the to do... oh yes Lila's nap! Which she fought! But I am happy to say I won today!!! =) Had little down time before I had to wake her up to go get Cole from school! Came home did snack and homework w/ Cole then made dinner. Then we went to kmart not sure why, need laundry soap but the price there was no good rather do walmart but kmart was closer. Cole did get to spend his money that his Nana gave him on a pack/deck of magic the gathering card, pooh >( I hate all these card games Yugiho, pokemon.... and now they want to start collecting and playing magic. Well on the plus side it is one my hubby use to play in middle school since it was out before all the other ones! Maybe he will find his old deck and play w/ them! (But I might be just dreaming....)

Then it was time to get Jesse from school! We even got there early 7:20'ish and ran through the gas station inbetween kmart and the school! And of corse the buses were late! So by the time we got home it was after 8! So kid had to bathe and get ready for bed! 9 light out for them!!! Lila of corse had her light out sooner!!!

So here I am tired and ready for bed, it has been a long day!!! But of corse I can't fall asleep! So.... Maybe by putting everything in writing I can release it and move on maybe even fall asleep quicker and yet never forget how busy life is in my small little world!!! I love my kid even when they make me exhausted!!!! Today was a good day =) So I am going to bed w/ a smile!!! ~Love~Smile~Be Happy

so sad =(

One of our baby Cardinalfish died today =( They are now 2 weeks (and 1 day) old. It is sad to lose one and it is most likely my fault, the salt levels were to high. Hubby did a risky water change to get the water better (changing it too much or fast could over stress or kill the other 2) and so far so good, the other 2 are doing well! But realistically the chances of are first batch survive to adulthood are slim and only having 3 to start w/! I am hoping the other 2 live longer!!!

Finally Spring Break is OVER!!! Now that I am a mom I understand why my mom got so excited when we went back to school! And after a week with all the kids home I am mentally and physically drained! There is so much cleaning to do... laundry, mopping, vacuuming.... where to even start!!! Well today I started w/ the kitchen not that I got very far since Lila and I went to do lunch w/ Jesse and a few of his friends, played a board game. Now that I am home it is Lila's nap time and turn on all the fish lights (only 1 out of 6 has a timer switch), check on the baby fish feed them.... Now it is time to get back to cleaning the kitchen, thinking sweetish meat balls for diner. (wishing it would rain to help w/ all the pollen outside!!!)
